Meeting Updates ~ March 7th, 2025

1. Our program called KEEP (Kiwanis Educational Equity Program) will have

new requests submitted to the “Good Neighbor” Grant, and to other foundations.

2. Kiwanis Scholarships – Applications in process this month. Port Washington

and Manhasset Sec. Schools - will also contact St. Mary’s.

3. The Kiwanis Golf Outing will be on September 15 this year, at North Shore Club

in Sea Cliff. This is another important initiative for which we will need many

volunteers to help. Please consider and let us know what you will be able to do.

4. Also, in October, Kiwanis will kick off a new fundraiser, A Coolest Dog on the

Harbor Event, which will be creatively designed by Kathy and others. Some

great ideas are developing! Will also coordinate a Sunset event with dog event.

5. Kiwanis Officers and some Board members (6 people – Jean, Kathy, Bob,

Jeff, Carl, Stuart)) will participate in the State of the Town of North

Hempstead meeting and luncheon on March 14.
